The MWS Musical Writing System® is an algorithm that allows the transcription of sound sequences into text form.

Thanks to a particular scheme, the MWS allows you to transcribe with a maximum approximation of a quarter of a tone for pitches and 7 thousandths of a second for durations, using combinations of only 15 characters that can also be reproduced with ASCII code.
